RAW MATERIALS RANGE GUIDE
Cellulose derivatives such as HEC, CMHEC, CMC, MC can be used as set retarders in oil & gas well cementing systems. Bisley can supply other cellulose derivatives upon request.
Hydroxycarboxylic acids such as Citric acid and Tartaric acid are dispersants that improve rheological properties and reduce the viscosity of oil & gas well cementing systems without the need for additional water and extended setting time. Bisley supplies high purity citric acid, tartaric acid and sodium potassium tartrate.
Lignosulfonates are used as retarders in oil & gas well cementing systems that also increase the compressive strength of cement. Bisley supplies sodium lignosulfonate.
Sodium potassium tartrate can be used as an extremely strong cement retarding agent in oil & gas well portland cement based systems. Typically used in CSA cement systems as a retarder.
Xanthan Gum and Welan Gum are set retarders in oil & gas well cement systems. Offering a biodegradable and renewable option. Both gums can be used to modify the viscosity of the cement
