Glass bubbles are low density hollow glass microspheres that have a high strength-to-density ratio, decreasing density and increasing buoyancy of a material making it a cost effective and water-resistant additive for many different applications. Glass bubbles can be used in oil drilling fluid to increase drill lubricity and reduce wear.
Glycols are used as lubricants in water-based muds, also having the added benefit of increasing shale stability. Bisley supplies Polyethylene Glycol and others upon request.
Graphite has a low coefficient of friction and is used as a torque reducer in water-based drilling muds. Bisley supplies amorphous, natural and synthetic graphite of a variety of customizable specifications.
